Packages Group celebrated World Ethics Day. To mark the occasion, employees were given the opportunity to express their understanding of ethics through a creative poster-making competition and storytelling.

Teams from across the Company participated in the competition, and through art, they illustrated what ethics means and how they witness its application in their daily work. We are proud to see our employees embodying the values of Care, Respect, Lead, Honesty and Courage— that continue to guide us.

Packages Group recently organised a Mental Health Awareness session, led by Dr. Sa’ad Bashir Malik, a highly regarded psychiatrist with extensive experience and a strong dedication to mental health advocacy.

As part of our annual Mental Health Day initiative, sessions were conducted across Lahore, Karachi, and Kasur. This year’s theme, “No Health Without Mental Health,” highlighted the critical importance of mental well-being as an integral part of overall health.

This initiative aligns with SDG Goals 3, 8, 10, and 16, reflecting our commitment to promoting well-being and inclusive workspaces.

A Sehat Mobile medical camp was conducted at Taunsa Purchase Center in collaboration with the Transparent Hands. 395 patients were provided with primary healthcare and free medicines under this initiative for SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being.

At Packages Group, we joined the world, for Global Handwashing Day—a reminder that even in a modern age, clean hands matter more than ever.

Washing with soap, and drying properly, a small act makes a huge difference. It can cut illnesses by 50% and save 1 million lives yearly. In Pakistan, where 40% of children face preventable diseases, it’s especially crucial.

Our team marked the day with a fun activity, pledging to make handwashing a daily habit. Together, we aim for a healthier future.

In honor of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we recently hosted a session titled “No One Should Face Breast Cancer Alone,” led by Dr. Nabeela Shami, Professor and Head of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Lahore Medical & Dental College. With 50 participants, the session emphasized the importance of early detection and the power of community support.

In partnership with Cancer Care Hospital, we are proud to share that we have conducted over 120 mammographies since 2017 for our employees, ensuring access to essential early prevention resources.

A Service Excellence Session was conducted by Mr. Jawad Gilani, Group Head of HR, for the Aspire Management Trainee batch in Karachi on October 11th, 2024. The session aimed to inspire and equip young professionals with essential insights into delivering exceptional service standards within the organization. Mr. Gilani shared valuable experiences, emphasizing the significance of customer-centric approaches and continuous improvement. The trainees left the session motivated and better prepared to uphold the company’s commitment to excellence.

We are proud to announce the successful conclusion of our Energy Management System (EnMS), SUR 01 Audit with Extension to Scope. 8 Companies of Packages Group are now certified to ISO 50001:2018 which includes PCL, BSP, TPFL, DIC, OmyaPack, HPL, SPL & PREPL. The closing meeting of this audit was conducted in Irshad Hall Packages and was attended by the Energy Team members and management representing the Packages Group companies in the scope of this audit.

This audit is a key milestone for us, demonstrating our commitment to energy efficiency, compliance, and sustainable operations and highlighting our strengths while providing valuable insights for further improvements. The efforts and dedication of the Packages Group Energy Team have helped us achieve this important milestone in the pursuit of sustainable development for the Organization. At Packages Group, we are committed to fostering strong, sustainable partnerships across our supply chains. This quarter, we hosted an engaging Supplier Engagement Session with suppliers from various group companies, focusing on the importance of building a Responsible Supply Chain.

The participants were given an overview of responsible supply chains and the critical role our suppliers play in achieving sustainable practices. Key insights on legal and environmental compliance in Pakistan were given to the participants to ensure ethical sourcing, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement.
