The Annual Sustainability Conference 2024, hosted at Packages Limited Lahore, brought together the energy and carbon teams from Packages Group companies and senior leadership, including Group CEO Syed Hyder Ali, to drive collaboration and innovation for a low-carbon future.

Key highlights from the Energy Conference included insightful updates on energy and carbon initiatives, with actionable next steps documented to drive progress. The event celebrated excellence with awards such as the Sustainability Champion, presented to Mr. Nemat Ali (OmyaPack), and the Corporate Sustainability Champion, awarded to Hoechst Pakistan Limited. Additionally, team members were recognized for their efforts, receiving certificates from the Group CEO as a token of appreciation for their commitment to sustainability and innovation.

As part of our 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, Packages Group has signed an MoU with Shirkat Gah – Women Resource Centre, Pakistan’s pioneering feminist organization dedicated to advancing women’s rights and social justice since 1975.

Through this partnership, we’ll be rolling out a series of anti-harassment trainings in 2025 across our group companies in Lahore, Kasur, and Karachi. These sessions are designed for everyone – from senior and middle management to employees and workers – helping us build awareness, take responsibility, and create safe, inclusive workplaces where everyone feels respected and valued.

Packages Group conducted a certified training session on “Documentation of ISO standards” Intertek.

The team was equipped with the core principles of ISO standards documentation and also learnt techniques to align the processes with ISO requirements, for improved clarity, accuracy, and accessibility of their documentation to achieve and maintain compliance with global standards.

Over 25 participants from the Group Energy Team attended the training.

The Sustainability teams of Packages Group and IGI General Insurance Ltd. recently came together for Sustainability Connect—a session to reflect on our 2024 achievements and set the stage for an impactful 2025, with a focus on the insurance business.

We were honored to have our CEO, Mr. Faisal Khan, and Head of HR, Ms. Hadia Tariq, along with their teams, share valuable insights during the session. Key updates included progress on energy and resource efficiency, sustainable supply chains, gender equality, stakeholder engagement, carbon and climate action, and human rights initiatives.

At Packages, we believe in the power of personal growth and continuous learning! Recently, Beenish Khan, our Group Manager Talent and OD conducted a training session on Building a Personal Brand, for group-wide audience.

This session was all about equipping our employees with the tools and strategies to create a strong, authentic personal brand that stands out in today’s competitive landscape. From defining individual values to mastering self-presentation, the participants were guided on how to amplify their strengths and make an impact both within and outside the organization.
